... went to a friend's for dinner, and returned to this!
I wish the photo could convey how magical it was--huge and so fragrant, really amazing.

Night Blooming Cereus

Rumored to only bloom one night a year--and only on a full moon.
We have had this plant for years and have never seen it blooming. I am leaving for a week on Peaks Island tomorrow, and thought I missed another year.
I took this photo this afternoon...

This is how Aaron keeps me happy until the snow finally melts and my own flowers start to bloom.

From Sunroom into Kitchen- Before/After

This was our kitchen looking onto a small dining room when we moved in.
The dining room was a tiny room that had once been an exterior porch, complete with lead painted interior clapboards on the interior wall. It had only two tiny vinyl windows and was mainly taken over by a closet that held heating ducts.
We took down the wall in between the two rooms, and put in four restored antique windows. There is nothing that compares to the quality and beauty of the wavy, antique glass.
